USA women’s basketball prediction vs Nigeria
Nigeria has been the feel-good story of Olympic women’s basketball, but that ends tonight against the Americans’ dynasty of depth. Ezinne Kalu has been playing great for Nigeria but being defended by Chelsea Gray and company is a different beast. Team USA should run away with this one, 101-72.
Diana Taurasi Olympic gold medals
Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) are the only two American women's basketball players to win five Olympic gold medals. Taurasi can become the first to earn six gold medals in Paris.

Satou Sabally Olympic stats
Satou Sabally got healthy at the perfect time. The German star, who at 6-foot-4 can play guard and forward, missed the entire first half of the WNBA season nursing an injury. But she’s been healthy — and looked like her usual versatile self — at the Paris Olympics, averaging 21.7 points and shooting 42.9% from 3 through three pool play games.
She is a matchup nightmare for most countries just like she is for most WNBA teams, and excellent at drawing fouls. Germany is a young, inexperienced team (this is its first Olympics in women’s hoops) but with two-time WNBA All-Star Sabally, it’s clear the Germans will be a threat on the world stage in coming years.
